Avionics Program Integrator

Cruz Associates Inc. of Yorktown, VA (www.cruzinc.us) has a position open and is looking forqualified candidates for an Avionics Program Integrator. Scope: Provide subject matter expertise for Special Operations Aviation (SOA) peculiaravionics software and integration of associated mission equipment being procured and fielded bythe Technology Applications Program Office (TAPO). Be knowledgeable of the component andaircraft-level qualification requirements and be capable of interfacing effectively with aircraftsystems integrators and systems engineers. Be knowledgeable of the all the softwarecomponents required for various DO-178B or associated level qualification requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical, analytical, and program management support for MH-47 Chinook,MH-60 Blackhawk, and MH-6 Little Bird helicopter avionics software programs andavionics components.
  • Interpret, refine, and integrate user requirements as they relate to the softwaredevelopment process.
  • Track impacts and trends as they relate to milestones, earned value management, andoverall cost/schedule/performance.
  • Track software metrics during all phases of operational flight program development.
  • Develop concise, accurate performance specifications and solicitation documents.
  • Assist in the technical reviews of all software and avionics development documents.
  • Estimate and evaluate program cost and schedule status.
  • Monitor vendor compliance with stated requirements.
  • Suggest appropriate courses of action should technical problems arise or userrequirements change.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience working in support of definition, development,qualification, and fielding of complex avionics and/or software systems is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience working in aviation systems is desired.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in Special Operations Aviation is desired.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an aviation program management office isdesired. Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is required.
  • Master’s degree in management field is desired.
  • Requires at least a Secret or Interim Secret security clearance.

Collateral Equipment Program Management Officer

Scope: Serves as a Collateral Equipment Program Management Officer, providing support of Military Construction (MILCON) projects for Marine Corps Activity Guam (MCAG).

Responsibilities

  • Support, assist, and provide coordination of MILCON Program for Marine Corps Activity Guam (MCAG).
  • Develop, review, and recommend Collateral Equipment Requirements.
  • Coordinate to ensure USMC interests are represented and fulfilled of the following: project prioritization, funding programming, Department of Defense DD1391 development, collateral equipment development and programming with HQMC Facilities (LF), NAVFAC, III MEF units, consultants and others.
  • Coordinate with Transportation Management Office (TMO)/Distribution Management Office (DMO), if necessary, in the movement of units/personnel in support of the DPRI Program.

Education and Experience

  • Knowledge of and experience with DOD logistics processes, procedures, and policies as it relates to furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) in support of Military Construction (MILCON) projects is required.
  • Familiarity with Collateral Equipment requirements, procurement, and procedures required.
  • Familiarity with USMC logistics procedures regarding collateral equipment and FF&E preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (relevant experience in lieu of degree acceptable).
  • Possess and maintain a Department of Defense Security Clearance (Secret Level).
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing with diverse teams of geographically dispersed 
professionals required.
  • Proficiency with database management and information management tools required.

Industrial Maintenance Technician

Cruz Associates Inc. of Yorktown, VA has an open position and is looking for qualified candidates for an Industrial Maintenance Technician I. Scope of Performance: Qualified technician to support maintenance, repair, and installation of explosive and chemical processing equipment. Technician will work in all explosive and chemical processing areas as determined by management or COR.  Technician shall be subject to physical examinations and certification requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tasks may include but are not limited to routine maintenance, repair, installation and modification to existing or new process equipment.
  • Troubleshoot repairs, modifies, and conducts preventative maintenance on complex electrical, mechanical, and processing systems.
  • Technician may be required to execute written maintenance procedures and document work completed on record sheets to be archived in data base.

Education and Experience – Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to gain/maintain a Secret Clearance
  • Ability to pass Explosives Handler physical and Respirator Fit test
  • Ability to pass Ammo-18 Certification class
  • Sound technical skills
  • Pipefitting/electrical experience strongly desired
  • Sufficient knowledge of mathematics
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75 lbs)

Ordnance Worker
