MH-47 Senior Logistics Analyst

The job location is Fort Eustis, Virginia in support of an Army Program Office. Scope: Provide logistics and analytical expertise and support for the development, modification, retrofit and life-cycle sustainment of Special Operations Aviation (SOA) MH-47 aircraft and aircraft-related systems and subsystems. Must be able to interface and coordinate among the user community, Program/Product Managers, and commercial vendors. Travel required up to 25%.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Develop Integrated Logistic Support Plans (ILSPs) for fielding and sustainment of aviation and aviation-related programs.
  • Prepare requisitions and delivery order requests.
  • Maintain a database to track and analyze all inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Prepare solicitation documents for new component contracts and requisitions for items from the military wholesale supply system.
  • Attend and participate in program reviews, design reviews, Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), and Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) planning meetings.
  • Provide recommendations to maintenance concepts, initial provisioning, and sustainment spares as required on the developmental systems.
  • Serve as a liaison to the Blue Grass Army Depot (BGAD), the Aviation & Missile Command (AMCOM), and the U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) with respect to publications and the UID (Unique Identifier) Program to coordinate and monitor schedules; track logistics programs’ status; and ensure cost and schedule targets are met.
  • Collaborate with internal and external support agencies to improve efficiency, productivity, and processes.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years experience working in military logistics is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is desirable.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working in Special Operations Aviation is desirable.
  • Requires at least a Secret or Interim Secret security clearance.

Scope: This position provides subject matter expertise for the A/MH-6 platform. Applicant must be knowledgeable of the aircraft level qualification requirements and capable of interfacing effectively with aircraft subsystems and systems developers and airworthiness qualification engineers.

Responsibilities: (Not all encompassing)

  • Provide technical, analytical, and project management support for the integration of hardware, and software applications.
  • Interprets and refines user requirements and develop potential integration solutions.
  • Develops concise and accurate performance specifications and procurement documents.
  • Monitors cost, schedule and compliance with stated requirements.
  • Recommends to Government appropriate courses of action should technical problems arise or user requirements change.
  • Perform developmental and user acceptance flight tests for hardware and software systems and subsystems.
  • Comply with all flight regulations, rules, and standards IAW latest version of DCMA INST 8210-1, AR 95-1, USASOC Sup 1 to AR 95-1, AR 95-20, TC 1-210-1, 160th RTSOP, and applicable ARSOA series Aircrew Training Manual.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 15 years experience with military rotary wing aircraft.
  • Minimum of 8 years experience with current aircraft and aircraft related technical systems development, architecture and integration.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in development of systems design, systems applications, developmental and acceptance test including fielding and sustainment.
  • Shall be qualified in an ARSOA A/MH-6 series rotary wing aircraft.
  • Shall be a graduate of DoD course of instruction for Instructor Pilot or Maintenance Test Pilot.
  • Minimum flight hours:
    • Total Time 3000 hours on rotary wing aircraft
    • Minimum of 1500 hours as Pilot In Command (PIC)
    • Minimum of 100 hours Night Vision Goggle
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
  • Possesses at least a Secret or Interim Secret security clearance.
  • Graduate of DoD Experimental Test Pilot Program (Desired).
  • Minimum of 1000 hours as RCM on ARSOA A/MH-6 series aircraft (Desired).

Technical Editorial Assistant

Scope: This position will work closely with technical writers and customers to develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs). Technical assignments for this position are diverse and require the ability to work with little supervision. Duties include technical documentation review, clerical editing, and copy preparation. Position requires technical writing skills and demonstrated ability in the operation of publishing/editorial software to compose text and tables, copy editing, and artwork.

  • Analyzes and reviews style and format of technical documents for compliance with Department of Defense standards, specifications, and instructions.
  • Verifies format, style, content arrangement, and other publication requirements for any technical document that does not conform to existing specifications.
  • Ensures conformance to established specifications (style, format, and publication content requirements).
  • Ensures correct use of grammar, spelling and punctuation.
  • Prepares final documents for printing and distribution.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalency is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is desirable.
  • Secret or Interim Secret security clearance is required.
  • Knowledge of Special Weapons Ordnance Publication (SWOP) 1-1 is desirable.
