Expert Aviation Maintenance Software Developer

Cruz Associates Inc. of Yorktown, VA has an open position for an Expert Aviation Maintenance Software Developer for the Systems Integration and Management Office (SIMO).  The job location is at Fort Campbell, Kentucky in support of the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment and Army Special Operation Aviation (ARSOA).  Interested applicants should apply by clicking the following link:  Expert Aviation Maintenance Software Developer, completing the online application and uploading their resumes.  

Scope: The Aviation Maintenance Software Developer will work independently and as part of a team to analyze and devise software solutions, support existing solutions and/or modifications, as well as to delegate or mentor other team members as required.  This position will be responsible for creating new and intelligent software solutions that provide efficiencies for the Government customer.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide end-user support and troubleshoot as necessary.
  • Integrate new technologies into existing products.
  • Review / debug other developers’ work to ensure a robust, quality software product.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of all applications developed with a devotion to IA coding standards.
  • Provide and maintain appropriate documentation related to source code and other documentation as required.
  • Provide suggestions to improve current code and code being developed.
  • Perform modification, testing, and debugging tasks on vendor-supplied utilities and packages to ensure fit with requested operating environment.
  • Exhibit strong analytical and problem solving skills for design and development of software.
  • Maintain a fundamental understanding of relational databases.
  • Analyze systems and suggest or architect solutions with clear designs.
  • Possess experience designing and coding Object Oriented code projects.
  • Possess understanding of full software development life-cycle.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
  • Perform routine clerical, administrative, and logistics tasks as required in support of the AMSO.
  • Possesses a Secret or Interim Secret security clearance.

Education and Experience-Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, related technical discipline, or equivalent technical training or work experience.
  • Four years software engineering or software development experience developing scalable, high-performance applications using .NET, C#/VB, WPF, MS SQL Server (v. 2000+).
  • Proven track record of driving and delivering high quality software products on time and within budget.
  • Leadership skills to guide and mentor the work of less experienced personnel.
  • Military aviation and SOA background desired.

Industrial Maintenance Technician I

Cruz Associates Inc. of Yorktown, VA has an open position and is looking for qualified candidates for an Industrial Maintenance Technician I. Scope of Performance: Qualified electrician to support maintenance, repair, and installation of explosive and chemical processing equipment. Technician will work in all explosive and chemical processing areas as determined by management or COR.  Technician shall be subject to physical examinations and certification requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tasks may include but are not limited to routine maintenance, repair, installation and modification to existing or new process equipment.  This work includes hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronics, pipe fitting, and steam fitting.
  • Troubleshoot repairs, modifies, and conducts preventative maintenance on complex electrical, mechanical, and processing systems.
  • Electrical tasks range from bending conduit and pulling wire to wiring 3 phase pumps, motor starters motor control centers, and control wiring.
  • Technician may be required to execute written maintenance procedures and document work completed on record sheets to be archived in data base.

Education and Experience – Required: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to gain/maintain a Secret Clearance
  • Ability to pass Explosives Handler physical and Respirator Fit test
  • Ability to pass Ammo-18 Certification class
  • Sound technical skills
  • Pipefitting/electrical experience strongly desired
  • Sufficient knowledge of mathematics
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75 lbs)

Ordnance Worker

Receptionist

Scope:  Provide front office receptionist support for Cruz Associates, Inc., a small professional services company located in Yorktown, Virginia (www.cruzinc.us).  This is a full-time position requiring office hours of 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Responsibilities: 

  • Answer the phones and take accurate messages
  • Collect mail at Post Office and Main Office
  • Prepare and proofread office correspondence as required, to include administrative support during proposals
  • Shred any office paperwork and/or coordinate with a shredding company
  • Provide support for client meetings by setting up drinks and/or ordering in lunch (clean up as required)
  • Act as an IT liaison for all office related issues and problemsBe responsible for keeping all areas of the office organized and presentable
    • Maintain, stock, and organize the office supply closet
    • Maintain, stock, and organize Cruz clothing inventory

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Minimum of two years experience in an office environment
  • Be proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrate experience with data entry and word processing
  • Be clear and articulate in speech
  • Have good phone skills (professional, cordial, and confident)
  • Associates Degree desired
