Cruz Awarded $33M Contract for Explosives and Ordnance Operations Support
[Yorktown, Virginia] – Cruz Associates, Inc. (CAI) has been awarded a 5-year, $33 million dollar
contract to provide energetic materials operations and maintenance, logistics and ordnance inventory
management, program management, quality systems management, and administrative support for
the Indian Head Division (IHD), Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) at Indian Head, Maryland and
Yorktown, Virginia.

This contract award continues CAI’s long-standing relationship with NSWC and begins a new chapter of
NSWC’s expansion in the Indian Head area following the base realignment of the Yorktown Detachment.
Explosives and ordnance support is the genesis of Cruz Associates having been the area of expertise of
the Company’s patriarch, Iggy Cruz.
